Shonda Smith affectionately known as Snow is a dynamic leader, entrepreneur, and advocate dedicated to helping women and children overcome adversity and reclaim their power. Known throughout Atlanta for her platinum blonde curls, bold presence, and no-nonsense approach, Snow brings passion and purpose to every space she enters.

 

Originally from Franklin, Louisiana, Snow was raised in a small town that inspired big dreams. After graduating from Clark Atlanta University with a degree in psychology, she experienced a pivotal moment when a corporate layoff pushed her to take control of her destiny. From that moment on, she committed to building her own future—and to helping others do the same.

 

In 2020, Snow and her husband, Kendrick Smith, co-founded Industry 28 Cares, Inc., a nonprofit organization rooted in empowerment, education, and community transformation. Under the umbrella of Industry 28 Cares, they also operate Renew Your Purpose, a core initiative that reflects their deep commitment to rehabilitation and restoration.

 

Through Renew Your Purpose, the organization empowers and rehabilitates women and children overcoming adversity by providing life skills training, educational opportunities, and a supportive environment to help them rebuild their lives and unlock their full potential. With every workshop, mentoring session, and resource provided, they move closer to realizing their vision: a future where women and children—regardless of past struggles—are equipped to thrive, lead empowered lives, and contribute positively to their communities.

 

To date, Snow and Kendrick have provided guidance, support, and meaningful resources to hundreds of individuals seeking a fresh start. Their work extends to youth programs, business coaching for women, and community development initiatives—always with an emphasis on lifting others as they rise.

 

Supported by her husband, their children, and a network of community leaders in Gwinnett County, Snow continues to live out her purpose every day. Through The Snow Effect, Industry 28 Cares, and Renew Your Purpose, she is helping to build a world where healing leads to hope—and where every individual has the chance to rise.​.
